Meet Lisa

Known for her grace under pressure, creativity, and genuine warmth, Lisa Forbes, owner of White Aspen Weddings, has been designing meaningful moments in the event and wedding industry for 15 years. Lisa loves building relationships that feel more like family than business and last long after couples say “I do”. Lisa’s intimate approach helps her connect with each couple so that their wedding day is a true reflection of who they are and what their love story symbolizes. 

Lisa takes equal pride in the creativity and execution of a last-minute, backyard ceremony and the extravagance of a black-tie country club event. Her weddings have gained local and national attention, and she’s a favorite among the photography, floral, and vendor community in Kansas City. Lisa is passionate about educating and mentoring the next generation of wedding professionals through her coaching platform, Poise for Planners.

When she’s not busy with her dream job, Lisa keeps two boys, one husband, and two cats alive. She drinks wine and lays on beaches with her girlfriends every chance she can and she always has a good book or a bible study on her nightstand.
